JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Following the retirement of City Street Foreman Harold Sad, the city of Jamestown was tasked with finding his replacement.

City Councilmember Steve Brubakken says a committee of himself, City Administrator Sarah Hellekson, City Engineer Travis Dillman, and Deputy Auditor Jay Sveum interviewed six individuals within the public works department.

Lipetzky will immediately take over the foreman position and the city will look to fill his position in the public works department.

During the mayor and council members reports, City Councilmember Dave Steele took time to warn residents of the high water and potential for spring flooding in 2020.

Mayor Dwaine Heinrich followed up Steele’s statement.

During the meeting, the city also moved to demolish the structure at 1100 Railroad Drive, the city-owned, damaged storage building and stormwater mitigation.
