JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Standing in solidarity with breast cancer survivors and patients, the Jamestown Rural Fire Department visited Jamestown Regional Medical Center Thursday to show support to those fighting.
In pink shirts, members of JRFD arrived at the front door of the hospital with a fire truck to show support for those with cancer to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to JRMC, 1 out of every 8 women receives a breast cancer diagnosis in her lifetime, and in Stutsman County alone, 30 percent of women are behind on their screenings.
That equals to more than 1,300 women in Stutsman county behind.
The JRFD is selling t-shirts to raise funds for women’s health and research.
