VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There will be a few changes for the American Legion Club in Valley City.

During a city public hearing for the issuance of a new liquor license Judy Benefeld told the commission that Jeremy Tjon of Moorhead, MN will soon purchase the building. She said Tjon will allow the American Legion to conduct their meetings in the building under the purchase agreement.

According to a document from the city auditor’s office, the new owner will rename the establishment “The Club House.”

A number of details still have to be worked out under this purchase agreement and more details will be released later.

The city commission approved of the transfer of the liquor licenses to Jeremy Tjon pending the completion of the purchase agreement during their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 1st.

Back in 2016 investors Ryan LeRoux and Jerry Benefield purchased the American Legion Club and helped modernize the bar.
