VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Bradley Edin will seek the nomination from District 24 Democratic-NPL to run for the North Dakota House of Representatives in 2020. He announced his candidacy at the Dem-NPL Fall Roundup at Riverbend Farm on September 21.

Until his retirement last spring, Edin was pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran, Kathryn, and Waldheim Lutheran Church, rural Kathryn, Messiah Lutheran Church, Fingal, St. Petri Lutheran Church, rural Nome, and Zion Lutheran Church, Nome  serving twenty-two years, since 1997. Prior to that Edin served parishes in Bucyrus Parish in Bucyrus, ND, Pembina Hills Lutheran Church in Mountain, ND and the Dazey-Rogers Parish.

Edin is a North Dakota native, growing up in Jamestown and graduating from Jamestown High in 1975. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and then attended Luther Seminary in Minneapolis, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary.

In 1995 Edin moved to Barnes County, where he started a small sheep enterprise on the farm his grandparents settled on in 1920.

” I am eager to meet with the citizens of District 24 and especially to listen to them, and to learn how government can serve us all better. I want to hear about their concerns, ideas and hopes,” states Edin.
