JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – The thrice-awarded Best Place to Work in Healthcare earned the No. 32 spot at a nationwide celebration in September.

Jamestown Regional Medical Center has received the Best Places to Work award from Modern Healthcare every year since 2017. Prairie Business magazine also named it a Top 50 Best Place to work in the region in 2018 and 2019.

Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare program recognizes the top workplaces in healthcare, those that go above and beyond to support their staff, empowering them to provide patients and other customers with the best possible care, products and services. Each year, the Best Places to Work program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on a national level.

Modern Healthcare named JRMC No. 48 in 2018 and No. 63 in 2017. Modern Healthcare selects 75 healthcare providers/insurers for the honor each year.

JRMC employees indicate they most appreciate employee-recognition programs, continuous training opportunities and Jeans Day Fridays with a donation going to the JRMC Foundation.

“I am proud of our team and how they go above and beyond for our patients every day,” said JRMC President & CEO Mike Delfs. “They are THE difference in the lives of those we serve.”

Angie Crummy, controller; Penny Holland, foundation office coordinator; and Amy Liebold, hyperbaric technician; accepted the award on Sept. 26 at a Modern Healthcare award ceremony in Dallas, Texas.

Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process. The process includes a questionnaire from the participating employer as well as a satisfaction survey of a company’s employees.

“With record unemployment levels, organizations face stiff competition to attract and retain top talent. The providers and companies making this year’s Best Places to Work in Healthcare list understand the importance of creating an environment where employees can not only excel in their own development but contribute to the mission of improving care delivery,” said Aurora Aguilar, editor of Modern Healthcare.

The program is open to all healthcare organizations and companies in all sectors of the industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees. Being named a best place to work can enhance recruiting efforts, increases employee retention and improve brand awareness. Winning organizations are also published in a special supplement and profiled in an issue of Modern Healthcare.
