JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown High School will join more than 150 high schools statewide for College Application Day.
Jamestown High School Counselors Julie Skunberg & Ali Mack are heading up the day in Jamestown, which is set for October 7th at the High School.
Skunberg says during the day, any student who applies for a North Dakota college or university can do so for free.
Mack pointed out that along with eliminated application fees that day, they’ll also bring in representatives of each state university for students and parents to learn more about what they have to offer.
Skunberg says a supplement of the day is that they have been meeting with each student to gauge what they’re interested in. Is it a four-year college? A trade school? And can they get that educational experience in North Dakota?
Mack stated that there are other things over the day that students will experience.
While the day is geared towards getting seniors to apply for a state school, there will also be opportunity for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to learn more about the different colleges in North Dakota.
The day is possible in part by the Bank of North Dakota.
