VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating a report of a sexual assault that happened inside the Barnes County jail.

According to the report, one male correctional officer allegedly sexually assaulted a female officer while both were on duty in the jail.

The male correctional officer has been placed on paid administrative leave as the BCI conducts its investigation.

So far, no charges have been filed against anyone in this case being it remains under investigation.
