Archie Robert Zimmerman, Jr., Buzzy, 83, beloved Husband, Father, and Poppa passed away peacefully of natural causes in his home on September 21, 2019.

Buzzy was born April 17th 1936, son of Archie and Vergie (Ganser) Zimmerman. He grew up north of Cleveland ND on the family farm and attended 12 years of school in Cleveland. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and served for two years. Buzzy was married to his sweetheart Marilyn Moser on January 20th 1955 in Windsor, ND. After his honorable discharge from the Army in Hawaii, he and Marilyn moved back to North Dakota and farmed with his parents from 1957 to 1980. Buzz and Marilyn decided to move in to Cleveland and retire from farming in 1980 and knowing Buzzy’s love for farming, he soon became an independent crop adjuster for several different companies from 1988 to 2008 at which time he retired.

Buzzy was an avid hunter and fisher, liked to play golf, baseball and softball, loved to play cards and watch football and golf on TV, loudly. He was a lifetime member of St. Mathias Catholic Church, the Elks Club, and a member of the American Legion in Medina.

Buzzy is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 64 years, Marilyn; one sister, Anna Sebastian; one brother, Ronnie Haugen; one son, Michael Zimmerman (Deb); three daughters, Tina Kuhn (Joe Meehl); Teresa Remboldt (Rusty); Jan Hovind (Dan). He has ten grandchildren: Jeremy and Joshua Zimmerman, Christina Otto and Travis Kuhn, Corey Remboldt and Ashley Zabka, Nikkolis, Dylan, and Cole Hovind and Sasha Gallagher; and eleven great grandchildren: Dyllon, Layla, Lillyana, Luna Rose, Sophie, Atley, Esley, Courtney, Emma, Mason, and Chase.

He was preceded in death by his father Archie, mother Vergie, sisters Virginia and Katherine, and one great granddaughter, Autumn.

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Windsor, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, Windsor, ND.

Visitation: One hour before each service at the church.

Interment: St. Pauline’s Cemetery, Windsor.
