JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown United Way has been raising money for numerous organizations throughout Stutsman County for several years.

The organization is part of United Way Worldwide. Its mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. The current impact model emphasizes that 99% of all funds raised stays within in Stutsman County.

The organization set their sights on a $210,000 goal earlier this year and will be holding fundraising events to help meet that goal. Becky Kercher is a member of Jamestown United Way.

Kercher says their next big fundraiser is “This Putts for U”, a charity golf event at Hillcrest Golf Course on Saturday, September 28th.

99% of all funds raised through United Way will benefit more than 14 different agencies through Stutsman County.
