JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A day held in honor of their brother, the Wilhelm’s welcomed in the surrounding community and more for their annual 5K run/walk and car show Saturday.
In 2012, Daniel Wilhelm passed away from Huntington’s Disease, a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. Brian Kamlitz says the event was created in honor of him.
Rod Wilhelm stated that they were appreciative of the support they’ve received since holding the event.
Steve “Skovy” Jaskoviak says all the proceeds from their burger feed to the 5K and car show was all collected to donate to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
The event has raised more than $125,000 in the last 8 years.
Classic cars, trucks and more lined the lot. Miss Rodeo North Dakota Kara Berntson was a special guest judge for the best car. She says she has a little experience when it comes to classic cars.
Below are some photos from the event.
