Lisbon, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Lisbon Broncos Football team (4-0) looks like the real deal in Region 1A. The Broncos disposed of the Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm Thunder (1-3) Friday night by the score of 50 to 22. But real story continues the be the hot starts the Broncos have gotten in each of there 4 wins. Last night the Broncos didn’t score on their very first drive, and then proceeded to put up 50 pts. in the first half. 44 pts. came unanswered. Scoring touchdowns on 7 consecutive drives. The half time score was 50 to 6 Lisbon. The Lisbon starters were done at half time.
The Broncos continue to rush the football at a record setting pace. Rushing for another 477 yards last night and getting big nights from Jordan Sours, Hunter Schultz, and Dawson Parrow. Schultz rushed 14 times for 198 yards and 3 TD’s, Sours added another 177 yards on 10 attempts with 2 TD’s, and Parrow had 2 rushes for 90 yards and 2 TD’s. With Lisbon’s 4th straight win to open the season, it’s their best start since the 2005 season.
So how good is this team? We will find out a lot next Friday Sept. 27th @ 7pm as the two top teams in Region 1A face off. Oakes vs. Lisbon. Both teams are the only remaining unbeaten teams in the region at 3-0.
