Florence Radtke, 93, Wichita, formerly Ypsilanti, N.D., passed away Friday, Sept. 20, in Wichita under the care of Kindred Hospice.

Florence Alma Priebe was born September 4, 1926, in Noltimer Township near Valley City, ND to parents, Otto and Elsie (Quast) Priebe.  She attended school at Noltimer and Eckelson, North Dakota.  Florence was united in marriage to Floyd Radtke January 10, 1948.  They lived on their farm near Ypsilanti for 60 years.  Floyd passed away in 2009.

Florence enjoyed gardening, canning, and making Lefse for family and friends with the help of Floyd.  She also enjoyed embroidery, crocheting of afghans which she shared with many family and friends.  In her spare time, she also enjoyed dancing.

Florence is survived by son, Allen “Bud” (Chris) Radtke of Marion, KS; daughters, Gloria Matchett of High Springs, FL, Linda (Bill) Peterman of Wichita, KS; son-in- law Mark Peske of Ypsilanti, ND; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd; daughter Karen Radtke-Peske; son-in-law Dick Matchett; three brothers, Alfred, Carl, and Edward.

Visitation will be held at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Friday, September 27 from 5-7pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral service. The funeral service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens, Valley City.
