CARRINGTON, N.D. – VCSU senior Cameron Rall shot a 73 on Tuesday as he finished in eighth place at the 36-hole UJ Fall Golf Invite.
The VCSU men’s golf team placed fourth out of seven teams at the tournament, which was held at Crossroads Golf Course in Carrington, N.D.
After shooting a season-best round of 304 on Monday, the Viking men followed it up with another 304 on Tuesday for a 608 team total. University of Jamestown won the event with a 581 total, while Dakota Wesleyan and Jamestown’s “B” team tied for second with a 595.
Rall was the top Viking finisher, shooting a 75 and 73 to card a 4-over total of 148. Rall tied for eight place overall. Tanner Schnathorst placed 12th for the Vikings after shooting a 73 on Monday and a 78 on Tuesday.
The Vikings had five golfers finish in the top half of the 37-golfer field. Jayden Ewoniuk placed 16th with a 153 (75-78); Brady Warcken finished 17th overall with a 154 total (79-75); and Collin Hoss tied for 18th with a 156 (78-78). VCSU’s Taylor Finlayson shot 78-81 for a 159 total and a 25th-place finish.
