FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Firefighters from Moorhead and Fargo spent more than two hours searching the Red River for a body after someone saw a man jump from the NP-Center Avenue Bridge.
Three boats were launched. Police then received information that the man got out of the river on his own.
Moorhead Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Wallin says it’s believed the man got out of the water on his own. The man ran to a car in a nearby parking lot and left the scene.
Wallin says it’s possible the jump from the bridge was video-taped.
Divers from valley water-rescue were preparing to go into the river when the search was called off.
