JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Music Boosters were founded to help the music programs within the Jamestown Public School District.

Jamestown Music Boosters member Michelle Weatherly says their group doesn’t just raise money for the music program, but supports music students in many different ways.

Since their inception, the Boosters have raised money and purchased different equipment for the district include new bandshells, practice pianos, grand piano, risers, and more.

Weatherly says their upcoming concert, Music Through the Ages, will feature numerous adults who have continued to be influenced by the Jamestown School’s music programs in their daily lives.

Weatherly says all funds raised will go towards the music departments throughout the school district. She says a future goal for the boosters would be finding a way to ensure the hearing impaired can enjoy the music put on by students.

Weatherly says they would love to talk to anyone who may have an idea what equipment would be needed to accomplish this.

The Music Through The Ages concert will be held Sunday, September 22nd at the Jamestown High School theatre. Tickets will be available at the door at $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $25 for family.

If you have any questions about the music boosters, would like to volunteer or donate, contact them at jamestownmusicboosters@gmail.com or call Michelle Weatherly at 701-659-0157.
