JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Behavioral Health Fair highlighted various programs and community services that provide vital service to the region Wednesday evening.
More than 14 booths highlighted the different entities as part of the Vital Services Conference 2019 put on by the Great Plains Housing Authority.
Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler says their booth featured drug take back information.
Shannon Kaiser shared information on youth alcohol prevention through Central Valley Health.
Katie Ryan-Andersen with the Jamestown Regional Medical Center shared information about free injury screening through the hospital.
Terri Krovoza with Laundry Love was spreading information on what their organization does not only locally, but nationwide.
Other organizations at the fair included the North Dakota State Hospital, South Central Human Services, Free Through Recovery, Community Options, Veterans Services, Stutsman County Extension, Jamestown Area Grief Support, Lutheran Social Services, First Link / 211, Triumph, and Community Action.
Executive Director David Klein says the event continues Thursday with their vital services day.
The Thursday event kicks off at 8 AM with registration and networking and will then go into numerous sessions including Housing 101, Census 101, Social Services 101, Veterans Services 101 and more.
The evening continued with the booths and live music provided by Post Traumatic Funk at the Hansen Arts Park.
