JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Earlier this month it was reported that Stutsman County will be one of the first 5 counties to receive some of the first radio console replacement equipment in 2020.
Stutsman County Emergency Manager and 911 Coordinator Jerry Bergquist informed the commission Tuesday that because it wasn’t happening until around April 2020, they would have enough time to replace their 911 equipment.
Bergquist says dispatch must be able to function and it would be best to do each project one at a time. He says Richland County approved the replacement of their 911 equipment.
He says it should cost the county approximately $130,000.
Bergquist says the outlook for the end of 2020 will have them in the red, but it shouldn’t be by much. He says they’re looking at either a December or January project begin date.
The commission unanimously approved.
