VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – More than 150 contestants from around the state will compete in the North Dakota High School High Rodeo September 21st and 22nd in Valley City.
North Dakota Winter Show Manager Tesa Klein said contestants will compete in the main arena and in the outdoor arena weather permitting both days from 8am to 5pm.
One contestant is Riley Staton of Hickson.
He and Jory Boote of Binford have been competing since they were 5 years old.
The two 17 year-olds suffered broken bones earlier this year and have recovered to compete again. The complete interview is available below.
Admission to the North Dakota High School Rodeo is $10 per day or $15 for the weekend, children 10 and under get into the rodeo free this Saturday and Sunday. Food vendors will be available during the event.
