JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – University of Jamestown alumnus Sean Blumhardt is hoping to give back in a big way.

While attending the University, Blumhardt participated in the wrestling program and was named an NAIA All American in 2011. He is the front man for the band “Latigo” from Colorado Springs, CO and was contacted by wrestling coach Dan Lovell.

Latigo has experienced major success over the years, earning more than 25 CCMA Awards including Best Modern Country Band of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year and more.

Blumhardt says it means a lot to have him return to Jamestown to raise money for the program.

Money raised will go towards the University of Jamestown wrestling team for travel expenses. Blumhardt says knowing what it’s like in the wrestling community, it makes a big difference from a competitive standpoint.

The concert is set for Saturday, September 28th at 7 PM in the Jamestown Civic Center. Tickets will be $25 per person and will be available at the door.
