VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – What will Valley City look like in 2045?

The city hired Stantec Inc; two years ago to survey the community and find out what their vision was for the city moving into the year 2045 using public input meetings and an online survey.

Stantec Inc; spokeswoman Peggy Harter gave a final presentation to city officials in August. She said one goal is to increase the population to 9,000 by 2045.

She said residents also provided input on developing a land use plan.

The Vision 2045 Comprehensive and Transportation Plan will provide a guide for the city over the next three decades.
