Lisbon, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Lisbon Broncos football team continued their hot start to the season with an impressive 44-0 victory at home against Fargo Oak Grove.
For the second consecutive week the Broncos scored early and often. Last week against the AA Central Cass Squirrels they rushed for 456 yards. Friday against the Grovers the team rushed for another 306 yards on 44 attempts. Averaging a staggering 7.0 yards per carry. Individually, Jordan Sours and Hunter Schultz led the way. Sours had 138 yards on 14 attempts. Averaging 9.9 yards per attempt and scored 2 TD’s on the ground. Schultz chipped in another 93 yards on 12 attempts and 1 TD. The Broncos did score their first passing TD of the year on a 47 yard pass to a wide open Dawson Parrow in the 2nd quarter to take a 38 to 0 lead.
The 2-0 Broncos will travel for their first road game of the year next Friday (9-13) against the 1-2 Northern Cass Jaguars.
