BLUFFTON, S.C. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s nearly a ghost town is how Valley City native Jon Kreilkamp describes Bluffton, South Carolina after the Governor order residents along the coast of South Carolina to flee from Hurricane Dorian.

Despite the evacuation order, Kreilkamp said he’s staying put and will ride out the incoming storm.
He rode out Hurricane Matthew back in 2016 and his house wasn’t damaged in wind gusts of 120 mph back then.

He said traffic was heavy on U.S. Highway 278 from Hilton Head, South Carolina as motorists headed west to get away from the incoming storm expected to hit South Carolina on Thursday, September 5.
