JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Severe storms were quick, but damaged a lot of trees and property across Jamestown Monday evening.
Winds gusted upwards of 80 mph with rain, hail, thunder, and lightning. Heavy rains flooded city streets and strong winds downed power lines and trees across the city. Power was knocked out for around 2 1/2 hours for some. Others recovered their power early Tuesday morning.
Because of power outages, street lights in the city didn’t work, forcing motorists to treat each stop like a 4-way intersection.
Below are some damage photos around Jamestown that have been submitted to NewsDakota.
