JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over 30 people filled a room at Babb’s Coffeehouse in downtown Jamestown Friday for a town hall event with US Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND).

The Coffee with Cramer event allowed for event attendees to ask questions and discuss issues facing North Dakotans. With a variety of topics covered, including agriculture, dealing with the debt, and the state of Washington, one of the largest concerns were drugs and healthcare.

When questioned about solutions to rising drug prices, Cramer responded:

A cattle farmer from Kulm questioned the tariffs Japan places on American goods, while the US places large amounts of military force in the region. Cramer met with Japanese officials recently to discuss the tariffs.

When asked about it, Cramer took jabs at Democrats, specifically the so-called “Squad,” which includes New York Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and their quick rise to fame.

As a part of his stop in Jamestown, Cramer will also visit and tour Collins Aerospace to discuss military and national defense.
