CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – KDAK AM 1600 The Cardinal is saddened to learn of the passing of their very own Lynn R. Schroeder.

Schroeder, 72, of Carrington, died Friday, August 23rd at Golden Acres Manor.

Schroeder is well known in the community and also on the radio. Starting in 1983, KDAK’s Greg Grenz remembers Lynn as someone who did a lot for the station over the last nearly 40 years.

Lynn worked as the engineer, filled in on the air and was always around the help when needed.

“He’ll be missed here at KDAK and across the i3G Media stations,” Grenz stated.

Visitation will continue Wednesday until 5 PM at Evans Funeral Home. It will continue from 6 PM to 7 PM followed by a prayer service at Grace Lutheran Church.

His funeral will be held Thursday, August 29th at Grace Lutheran Church and his burial will take place at the Carrington Cemetery with arrangements by Evans Funeral Home.
