JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was first known as Pet Appreciation week, but now it’s called “Out Here with Animals.”
Tractor Supply Company (TSC) in Jamestown is the site and organizer for the event, which brings together several non-profits, businesses, and organizations together for one big event.
Travis Samshal with TSC says their partnership with Prairie Paws Rescue is a big highlight of the day.
Prairie Paws Co-founder Kaye John says they’ve held a pet meet and greet at TSC for several years.
The event starts at 10 AM and goes until 3 PM. Dr. Dawn’s Pet Stop will be doing pet microchipping at a discount as well. There will also be the RM Stoudt Dunk Tank, Kiwanis Club games for the kids, bounce house, and 4-H will have pets for viewing and petting. Local Vendors will sell goods and burgers and hot dogs will be served.
There will also be several bike giveaways.
Another big event happening that day is an auction, which Samshal says will also benefit Prairie Paws Rescue.
John says they will have all their pets at the event for people to meet and possibly adopt.
The event will be held August 24th from 10 AM to 3 PM at TSC in Jamestown. For more information, contact Kaye Jon at 701-320-4553.
