JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Daily Bread-Jamestown continues to grow in the community.

The program began in 2011 and has expanded since.

Freezers have been placed in all Jamestown public schools, St John’s Academy, St. John’s Lutheran Church, the James House, Community Options Inc., James River Senior Center and the Gardenette.

Refrigerators have also been added at the Gardenette, St. John’s Lutheran Church and the senior center.

The program reportedly added a new freezer location at First United Methodist Church. The freezer is accessible daily during regular hours 9 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday.

Daily Bread-Jamestown continues to seek out food donations from approved kitchens at convenience stores, hotels, food businesses and caterers. Donors of the food are protected by the national good Samaritan Law titled The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act signed in 1996.

The Daily Bread- Jamestown food is free, and there are no registration requirements.
