JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) earlier this year withdrew their offices in Jamestown and Wahpeton and consolidated to their Fargo office.
The SBDC provides technical assistance and counseling to people starting a business.
“We provide confidential business assistance in the form of advising, training, and research that helps you start, manage, and grow your business at little or no cost,” the organization states.
On Tuesday, Jamestown leaders were introduced to Ian Carlstrom, North Dakota SBDC Business Advisor. Carlstrom will be the connection between area individuals and the SBDC.
Under the new plan, Carlstrom will work with not only Jamestown, but surrounding cities and counties including Valley City, Wahpeton and more.
Carlstrom says he will serve his region on a case by case basis and encourages any business or organization who works with small businesses and development to be in touch with him.
JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova says the service of the SBDC is being provided at no cost to the city of Jamestown.
If you have any questions, you can contact the JSDC or Ian Carlstrom at 701-499-5276 or email Ian.Carlstrom@ndsurtp.com.
