DAZEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The city of Dazey has their drinking water back for residents who had to go without the service for nearly three days after a torrential rainfall flooded the city of less than 100 residents early Wednesday morning on July 17th.
Mayor Justin Sherlock said residents are being asked to limit usage of water and flushing in their homes as the lift station continues to work lowering the high water level in town.
Sherlock said visitors for the funeral on Saturday and other activities should use the north or south entrances to the city being the main entrance from ND State Highway 1 east of the city remains closed due to high water.
He said several roads in the city are closed or have water pump hoses running across them, so motorists should exercise caution and proceed slowly.
