JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man suffered serious injuries following a high speed pursuit near Jamestown Tuesday evening.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that a speeding motorcyclist was called in to law enforcement. The man was found five miles east of Jamestown at 120 miles per hour.

DanielStaggs, 36 years of age, fled law enforcement westbound on a stolen 2005 Yamaha FZS10 motorcycle.

The pursuit continued for three miles on a paved county road before Staggs failed to negotiate a curve and entered the north ditch. Staggs struck an approach, vaulted and came to rest in a field.

Staggs is suffering extensive serious injuries resulting from the crash. He was transported by Jamestown Ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, then flown to a Fargo Hospital.

The motorcycle was totaled. Criminal charges are pending. The Crash remains under
investigation by the Highway Patrol.

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department and the Jamestown Police Department assisted.
