BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 6,000 deer tags remain following the lottery deer licensing earlier this year.
The North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that only those who were unsuccessful in the first lottery are welcome to apply for the remaining tags on a first come, first serve basis.
Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says licenses are also available for nonresidents.
Leier says hunters should consider trying a different unit for hunting this year. You have until July 24th to apply for a remaining tag.
You can listen to Doug Leier each Thursday at 7:35 AM with JD in the Morning on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM.
