JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The man killed in a rollover crash near Jamestown May 29th has been identified.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that Mike Caldwell, 66, of Portland, OR was reportedly traveling recklessly west on I-94 in a Toyota Tacoma
While units were responding, the vehicle left the roadway and entered the median around 11 miles east of Jamestown. The Toyota continued to drive a short distance in the median before veering back onto the westbound lane. The Toyota then spun out of controlling, rolling several times before coming to rest on its wheels, blocking the right lane.
Caldwell was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The right westbound lane of I-94 was closed for approximately 2 hours while the crash was investigated.
The crash remains under investigation. Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Ambulance, and Jamestown Rural Fire assisted.
