JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High girls soccer tournament enters Thursday’s state tournament on a four-match winning streak that helped propel the West’s No. 6 team into the next level of the postseason. The Jays have a daunting task when the battle Shanley, the Deacons have yielded just two goals all season.

The tournament will be held at Jamestown’s Rotary Field with the action beginning at noon with Jamestown/Shanley.

Head coach Brandi Harty said once the season turned around, the girls saw playing in the state tournament in their hometown as goal.

A match against Shanley will certainly be a tough task for the Jays, but Coach Harty said they just have to keep playing the way they’ve been playing and it should give them an opportunity to be successful.

Three other matches will follow Jamestown/Shanley on Thursday. The full schedule can be seen below.

12pm: Jamestown vs. Shanley

2:15pm: Bismarck vs. Sheyenne

4:30pm: Minot vs. West Fargo

6:45pm: Century vs. Davies
