JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown man involved in an April 26th altercation with Jamestown Police is now facing attempted murder charges.
47 year-old Ray Hunter was arrested at M&H Gas Station after he refused to comply with officers and attempted to grab a handgun. Officers immediately disarmed Hunter and took him into custody.
According to court documents, the loaded gun fell to the ground when officers removed him from the vehicle. Along with a charge of criminal attempt murder, a Class A Felony, he also faces charges of reckless endangerment, terrorizing, preventing arrest and possession of a controlled substance, all Class C Felonies.
He’s also charged with carrying a concealed firearm, a Class A misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance, a Class B misdemeanor.
Hunter remains in custody at the Stutsman County Correctional Center on $50,000 bond.
