JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakota Anglers will be holding their long-running Walleye/Northern Tournament for the 43rd year on June 1st and 2nd.
The longtime club has held the fishing tournament at Pipestem Reservoir each year, but member Dave Schmidt says a study of the Pipestem forced them to move the tournament to Jamestown Reservoir.
Schmidt says at this time, there’s a lot of openings left in the tournament. Cost to register is $200. Schmidt says registration goes towards conservation efforts and other Dakota Anglers events.
Payback is based on the number of teams entered in the tournament and a walleye pot of $1000 for 1st Place with a 2nd and 3rd place prize as well.
Other events later this summer include the Little Britches Fishing Tournament on June 15th, Fish Fry Tournament and Outing on July 13th and the Steak Fry Tournament and Outing on August 17th.
