JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Jamestown will be conducting Citywide Cleanup the week of May 13th through May 16th.
The annual week invites residents to place unwanted and discarded items on the curb to be picked up by city crews at no charge.
“Place materials for collection on the roadway as close to the curb or shoulder as possible,” the city asks. “Unwanted materials must be out by 7 AM the morning of your cleanup day. Crews will not return for any items.”
Accepted materials to be picked up include branches, basic household items, small scale building and remodeling debris, wood, lumber, and non-creosoted landscaping timbers, carpeting and more.
Items not accepted include large quantities of linens, regular garbage, appliances, electronics, automotive products, paint, lawn mowers, or bio-medical waste.
Jamestown Mayor Dwaine Heinrich.
Heinrich says it has done the opposite and continues to grow in the community. He encourages residents to learn what can and can’t be picked up on that day.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, May 13th – Southeast section
Tuesday, May 14th – Southwest section
Wednesday, May 15th – Northwest section
Thursday, May 16th – Northeast section
Residents can also take advantage of all city facilities for garbage, recycling, appliances, clothing and shoes, and more. If you have any questions, you’re encouraged to contact city hall at 701-252-5900.
