Thoughts:
With a junior high choir concert, a little injury, and just how we matched up with Fargo South, we utilized a different line-up today.

With the new line-up, we didn’t drop a game in the doubles. Cali and Breck were able to play together for the first time. Olivia and Rose were able to continue building their relationship on the court. Lexia and Maisie played together again for the 2nd match in a row resulting in Lexia picking up her first varsity win of her career. Congratulations Lexia!

Playing a team like this takes patience, focus, and the ability to continue to let your body play the game instead of your mind. The pace of the ball was slower and the shots were shorter. Our girls needed to adjust to each of their opponents to find the right spots to recover to to be in the best position possible for the next shot. For the most part we did, but we still could improve in being consistent in this area.
In singles, Rose won 6-0, 6-0 as well to go 24-0 on the day in games. She is always focussed and never lets up. It is tough against anyone to win four sets in a row without dropping a game. Amber Knutson played in her first varsity match ever at #6 singles and won! Congratulations Amber! She played within herself and moved well to the correct spots to be able to win the point.

Next action is Mandan tomorrow at 11:00am in Valley City for the varsity followed by a 4pm match against West Fargo in Valley City for the JV and Junior High. The Hi-Liners will then play in the Sheyenne Invitational Tournament on Saturday where the entire state converges on Fargo and plays a 6 singles and 3 doubles flighted tournament.
