VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Brayden Jacobson did it on the mound and at the plate leading West Fargo to a 11-0 win in game one of the EDC doubleheader at Charlie Brown Field Tuesday night.

The sophomore right hander tossed a perfect game, 18 up and 18 down. He was also 2 for 4 at the plate, scoring three runs and driving in one. Jacobson struckout 11 in the game. Derrick Miraldi drove in three runs for the Packers.

In game two, the Packers scored three in the second on the way to a 7-1 win. Dustin Mertz allowed four hits and one unearned run in five innings for the win. He walked three and struck out 10.

Mitchell Taylor, Easton Hesch, Avery Benefeld and Alex Thornton had the hits for the Hi-Liners. Thornton went the distance on the mound. He allowed 11 hits over five innings, four earned runs with no walks and three strikeouts.

The Hi-Liners fall to 1-4 in the EDC and 2-8 overall. They will travel to Fargo Davies for a doubleheader on Friday.
