Thoughts:
The Fargo North match ended up being vary weird with the completion of the suspended match.  As two of the Spartans had an AP exam today, we weren’t able to finish those matches.  As Fargo North had more than 4 victories, they won the match and we won’t be finishing the other matches.
Breck was able to fight through some pain in her singles match to come back and win in a third set tiebreaker for the Hi-Liners only victory on day.  Breck received treatment after the match, but couldn’t play our doubles match which is why you see the default at doubles.
Against Shanley, we played our best tennis of the year.  Cali and Hope played at a very high level in doubles, losing in two close sets.  Rose and Olivia by far had their best outing of the year, losing in three sets.  They played out of their minds with their consistency, belief, strategy, and everything.  It was fun to watch!
Lexia Nix had an opportunity to play in her first varsity match ever.  She played very well at the net and fought off nerves.  Nice job today, Lexia!
Rachel turned it up a notch in singles. Her footwork, belief, and intensity improved immensely between sets.  Keep it up from now on.  Play every day like you did today!  Maisie also is improving each time on the court.  Today, she moved the ball around more and moved her feet more to stay in points and stay competitive each point.  Excellent work, Maisie!
Cali is the leader of this team on and off the court.  Today, she proved again to be a model Hi-Liner.  One point, in a highly contested match, Cali called the ball out too late on a serve.  As this represents double jeopardy in tennis, Cali reflected and then gave her opponent the point.  This was the correct and sportsman thing to do.  She ended up losing the match 6-4, 7-5, but she won the respect of her opponents for herself and our team.
Next action for the Hi-Liners is Thursday at home at 4pm against Fargo South.
