VALLEY CITY,N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners scored at least one run in every inning in a 14-6 win over Fargo North in a game that was worth 2 points in the Eastern Dakota Conference standings. Fargo North came in trailing the Hi-Liners by two points in the standings.
Grace Scherr led a 18 hit attack by going 4 for 5. She scored three times and drove in two. Hailey Schaefer had three hits and drove in two. Eliza Johnson, Becca Thompson, Sam Ranisate and Erin Anderson had two hits each. Eliza Schueneman, Jessie Undem and Emma Mielke had one hit each.
Schueneman drove in three runs while Scherr, Schaefer, and Mielke drove in two each.
Schaefer got the win in the circle. She scattered 10 hits over seven innings. She allowed six earned runs with three walks and 13 strikeouts.
The Hi-Liners have won four straight and improve to 9-6 overall and 10-4 in the EDC. They travel to Fargo Davies for another EDC matchup on Thursday May 9th.
