VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A contractor is working to wrap up a two year project to stabilize the ground underneath I-94 near exit 290 west of Valley City.

North Dakota Department of Transportation Assistant District Engineer Nathan Haaland said the contractor has nearly completed placing 285 concrete block anchors to stabilize the area. He said crews had some complications boring a nearly 300 foot pipe underground.

The $7.5 million project should be completed in the summer of 2019.
