JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Kids continue to be the focus for the international service club Kiwanis.
According to Kiwanis International, every year they raise more than $100 million with more than 18.5 million volunteer hours to strengthen communities and serve children. Locally, Jamestown Kiwanis benefits numerous organizations.
Kiwanis Member Katie Ryan-Anderson says their volunteers and fundraisers allow them to do multiple things within the community.
Ryan-Anderson says their large fundraiser will be held at the KC Hall on Monday, May 6th. She says Pancake Day raises money for them to continue their clubs mission.
The goal is to raise at least $10,000. Key Club members from Jamestown High School and Aktion Club members from the community will assist with making pancakes, busing tables and cleaning up.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under. Bulk discounts are available. Tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member or online. The event runs from 11 AM to 7 PM.
