ASHLEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man was seriously injured and a woman was killed following a rollover on Highway 11 west of Ashley Thursday.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that the 2006 Chevy Impala was traveling west on Highway 11 from Ellendale to Bismarck. The vehicle began to lose control on a curve with fresh chip seal applied to the raodway.

The vehicle entered the west ditch and rolled, ejecting the female passenger. Both the 28 year-old Mandan driver and 23 year-old passenger were transported to Ashley Medical Center. The passenger passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.

Names will be released Friday pending family notification.
