JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – University of Jamestown Alum Will Bernhagen has completed his 600 mile journey from Wyoming.

The ’79 graduate undertook the walk to raise money for the final Outdoor Shield at Harold Newman Arena. In 27 days, Bernhagen battled wind, rain, and sun to make the trek from Sheridan, Wyoming.

Bernhagen raised more than $30,000 in pledges for scholarship programs at the University. While the money was raised for the shield, Bernhagen stated it was benefitting the students he was most proud of.

Originally from Ellendale, N.D., Will is a dedicated University of Jamestown alumnus who was a four-year letter winner in football at UJ. He currently serves on the UJ Board of Trustees, and his name is on the Will Bernhagen Football Locker Room at UJ.

Will is the President of Cen-Dak Leasing of MT, Inc.; Managing Partner at Wyoming Sawmills Industrial Park, LLC; Partner, Belizian real estate developments; and organizer and former Board member of Beartooth Bank.
