JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – Have you heard?
Jamestown Regional Medical Center is offering three days of free hearing, memory and speech screenings.
“Communication is the key to a high-quality of life,” said JRMC Audiologist Marissa M. Leese. “Lauren and I want to offer our services to the community of Jamestown for all those who could benefit.” Leese joined JRMC in 2018.
Screenings include one or more of the following:
- pediatric and adult hearing screenings
- adult memory screenings
- pediatric language screenings
The screenings are open to the public, especially to those who:
- turn the TV too loud
- miss parts of conversations
- have difficulty hearing in background noise
- are difficult to understand
- are often forgetful
- works around loud machinery or equipment
Lauren Burningham, JRMC speech-language pathologist, joined JRMC in 2018. “If you have concerns about hearing, memory or your child’s speech/language, we encourage you to take advantage of these free screenings. Every adult should have a baseline hearing and memory screening,” she said.
Screenings are scheduled for 30 minutes. If further diagnostics and a full evaluation is needed, it can be completed at JRMC Rehab.
