JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Marketplace for Kids will be hosting its 25th event in Jamestown on Tuesday, May 7th at the University of Jamestown.

The event is for kids in grades 3-8. Marketplace for Kids has teamed up with communities statewide for Education Days, one-of-a-kind experiences where students explore careers, technology, and the future through hands-on activities that are rooted in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Bob Heitkamp is the Executive Director of Marketplace for Kids. The organization started in Jamestown now encompasses the entire state.

Heitkamp says numerous industry and technology jobs will be highlighted as well as STEAM careers.

He expects anywhere between 400 to 600 kids in Jamestown participate in the 25th event.

A featured speaker will also present during the May 7th event in Jamestown. Heitkamp says he’s a good example of what kids can do after participating in the event.

Marketplace for Kids is teaming up with the Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center and James Valley Career & Technical Center to bring as many professions to the University of Jamestown campus for the day.
