VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce & Valley City Barnes County Development Corporation annual banquet was held April 23rd at Valley City State University.
The guest speaker Patrick Kirby the founder of Do Good Better Consulting stressed the importance of using your foundation donations wisely to build a better community. He complimented the efforts already underway in this community that help several agencies through this type of philanthropy.
Also at the annual business meeting President JoAnn Hooper stepped down as president of the Development Corporation board of directors. Josh Kasowski was elected to serve as the new president of the board in 2019.
During the awards ceremony, Valley City Schools Superintendent Josh Johnson received the Community Spirit Award.
The Community Image Award went to Thrifty White Drug
6-D Construction received the Business of the Year Award.
And Dean Sauer received the Hi Liner Award. He is the owner of Valley Office Works.
