(NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals scored four runs in the top of the first inning and at one point led 9-2, Sheyenne/New Rockford scored five runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to make the score 9-7, but the Cardinals would get an insurance run in the top of the seventh and hold on for the victory 10-7 on Monday night. Carrington improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 3, SNR drops to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in Region 3.

The Cardinals used five pitchers, Senior Kyle Leapaldt picks up the victory on the mound working five and a third innings. Bo Belquist suffers the loss.
