VALLEY CITY,N.D. – It will be a new look team for the Valley City Hi-Liner girls tennis team. With a good mix of veteran players who have seen success in recent years and young talent, the Hi-Liners are looking to continue that success.
Valley City opened the season last Thursday with a 6-3 win over Wahpeton. This week, they host both West Fargo schools. Head Coach Matt Nielson says both matches will be good tests. Especially against Monday’s opponent, West Fargo Sheyenne. He says the Mustang match will be a good barometer for his team.
Nielson says he will be eager to see how the you team plays against the Mustangs.
The Hi-Liners have sent numerous girls to the state tournament over the last few years. These younger players have seen that success and coach Nielson says they are ready to make their mark.
Today’s match with West Fargo Sheyenne will begin at 4:00pm at the North Courts in Valley City. Thursday’s match will be versus West Fargo beginning at 4:00pm at the North Courts.
