JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several agencies were involved in a high speed pursuit Thursday afternoon.

The pursuit started in Jamestown with police attempting to pullover a vehicle with dealership plates. The chase lead officers north, reaching speeds upwards of 100 plus mph. Foster County Sheriff Justin Johnson reports that Jamestown Police ended their pursuit due to safety concerns and turned it over to his agency.

“Jamestown Police stopped at around the Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge,,” Sheriff Johnson stated. “We did not discover him again until south of McHenry on Highway 20. Speeds reached up to around 110 mph. We ended our pursuit at around mile marker 70.”

Further details were not immediately available. The Jamestown Police Department reports that this is the 8th pursuit they’ve been involved with in the last 7 weeks.
